The Commission Report was officially presented to Mr. Palma, Economic Adviser to the Minister of Economy by a UNDP Mission headed by the UN Resident Coordinator, Ms. Irene Phillippi, and Mr. Eduardo Aninat, Former Minister of Finance and Commission member on January 17, 2005. A number of initiatives are being launched by UNDP Chile as a follow-up to the Commission including:

• Development of South SME Networks between Chile and Asian Countries to enhance local and regional enterprise development in Chile. This would also influence institutions thru legal, regulatory, and business reforms. The transfer of skills and ideas would be engineered thru ChileEmprende in conjunction with China, Malaysia, Thailand, Korea and India
• Development of SME clusters in the tourism sector especially in indigenous areas
• Access to Justice Initiative focusing on SMEs
