The Commission report was launched in Brazil in June 2004 in conjunction with UNCTAD XI. Established in 1964, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development aims to integrate developing countries into the world economy. Miko Rwitare was a keynote speaker at UNCTAD and the press launch, while Hernando de Soto spoke through videoconference at the plenary session of UNCTAD.
