Crisis Prevention and Recovery

In March 2000, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) established the Thematic Trust Fund for Crisis Prevention and Recovery (the Fund). Since its inception, the Fund has mobilized more than US$ 850 million and benefited more than 80 countries. UNDP's Bureau for Crisis Prevention and Recovery serves as the Fund manager, responsible for both its fiduciary oversight and programmatic results. The purpose of this document is to provide information about the structure and objectives of the Fund. It describes why it is important, what it covers, how it works, and how to contribute.
