The Government of the Republic of Zambia with support from the Flemish Government and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), under a project entitled “Strengthening Management Effectiveness and Generating Multiple Environmental Benefits Within and Around Protected Areas in Zambia”, spearheaded by Zambia Wildlife Authority (ZAWA), intend to support the development of a people-centred Wildlife Policy in Zambia that promotes sharing revenue with communities in Game Management Areas (GMAs)
The objective of the consultancy is to look at broader/diversified and long-term benefits from the GMAs in a manner that would improve and guarantee accountability, transparency and equity in terms of participation, access and fair distribution of costs and benefits.
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) wishes to engage a research institution or consultancy firm to produce the 2014 Zambia Human Development Report (ZHDR) over a period of six months, from January to June 2014. The theme of the Report is Industrialization in Zambia: Poverty Reduction Through Wealth and Job Creation for Inclusive Development.
The main objective of the 2014 ZHDR is to understand how best a diversified industrial base can became the engine of inclusive and equitable growth, employment creation and a tool for poverty reduction.
