Boaz Paldi was appointed Partnerships and Communications Specialist in UNDP's Bureau of External Relations and Advocacy in October 2014. Mr. Paldi joined UNDP in 2005 as the organization’s broadcast specialist.

Since joining UNDP, Mr. Paldi has helped conceive and implement a broad video strategy, increase UNDP’s video capacity across the globe, produced and directed various films, helped spearhead UNDP’s social media presence and trained UNDP staff across the globe in video production. He is also the focal point for the UNDP’s annual Social Good Summit.

Before joining UNDP, Mr. Paldi worked as a TV journalist for 17 years covering, a broad range of issues around the globe, including conflicts, natural disasters and human-interest stories. He began his career at the BBC office in Jerusalem as a field producer, then joined the Associated Press TV and finally joined Reuters where he worked as a TV News Executive Producer for over 12 years.

Mr. Paldi holds dual nationality from Hungary and Israel. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Kamera Obscura School for Film and Television in Tel Aviv, Israel.
