Monster.com and ITC Choupal joint initiative, Rozgarduniya.com will provide an online recruitment platform to rural jobseekers from 40,000 villages across 9 states in India
New Delhi, India, 6 May 2010 – The Business Call to Action (BCtA) and Monster.com, the leading global online recruitment resource and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide (NYSE: MWW) today announced that Monster.com has been acknowledged by the BCtA for its commitment to expand access to job opportunities for rural youth in India. The pledge to the BCtA will promote access to Rozgarduniya.com, an Internet job portal, in 40,000 villages across nine states in India.
Monster.com’s commitment to the BCtA is expected to promote inclusive growth and sustainable development as well as contribute to the Millennium Development Goals, eight internationally-agreed goals which seek to alleviate poverty.
Rozgarduniya.com, which means “the world of employment opportunities” in Hindi, is a joint initiative between Monster.com, and ITC Choupal, which are Internet-enabled kiosks set up by ITC Limited in villages throughout India. The platform enables job seekers to access and apply for jobs through ITC Choupals. The bilingual site provides a credible recruitment tool for companies looking to hire local talent. For qualified candidates, the portal provides access to job information from companies expanding their reach into rural areas.

Launched in August 2009, Rozgarduniya.com is currently accessible in both Hindi and English in more than 3,000 villages. During the pilot phase, more than 325 jobs were posted and 144 job seekers were offered employment.
