Japan renews its support for the elections in Côte d’Ivoire Oct 9, 2015 Abidjan -- The Government of Japan has granted an additional contribution of US$1.6 million for the 25 October elections in Côte d'Ivoire. This contribution will enable the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) to acquire essential equipment, including 20,000 ballot boxes, 25,000 voting booths and 944,000 ballot box seals.
