South-South Cooperation (SSC) is about developing countries working together to find solutions to common development challenges. Linked by commonalities in their history, geography and challenges, the countries of the South have important lessons to share from which other developing countries can learn. South-South Cooperation promotes closer technical and economic cooperation among developing countries by allowing them to share best practices and to diversify and expand their development options and economic links. It is a powerful tool for building new partnerships and creating more democratic and equitable forms of global interdependence and governance. UNDP facilitates an on-going development dialogue between countries in the South.
