 Representatives of the Central Election Commissions of the CIS countries were informed about the objectives of UNDP's Global Programme for Electoral Cycle Support (GPECS) The documentary "Indigenous Identity and Democracy in Mexico" talks about the political participation of indigenous peoples in Mexico through the voice of experts, electoral authorities and indigenous leaders.

As the elections draw closer, UNDP is supporting Cambodians to produce a mass media campaign that will empower young adults aged 15-24, encourage them to get out and vote, and get involved in community-level volunteerism and decision-making.

The initiative is being implemented by the BBC World Service Trust -- the BBC's international development charity.
