Director of UNDP in Africa visits Malawi

The Director of UNDP in Africa, Tegegnework Gettu, attended a finance ministers' summit held jointly by the African Union and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa.

The meeting was officially opened by Malawi President, who is also Chairman of the African Union, Dr. Bingu Wa Mutharika.

“We need team spirit to deliver as a family, we need to be united, our cause is development,” Gettu said on the sideline of the summit.

Gettu explained that the UNDP office in Malawi is capable of delivering quality services to the country.

The Regional Director reiterated that UNDP's work requires dedication and hard work.“We do not have time as Africans” he said.
