Aug 30, 2009

UNDP Administrator Helen Clark began a four-day trip to European capitals today in The Hague where she met with Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, Minister for Development Bert Koenders, and members of the Dutch Parliament.  Their discussions focused on The Netherlands' longstanding partnership with UNDP and their mutual development priorities, including climate change and the MDGs.
Tomorrow she will be traveling to Copenhagen, and then on to Berlin and Geneva.
The Administrator also gave a speech to the Society for International Development on the theme, "Between now and 2015: Moving the development agenda forward."
