  • Results: Crisis Prevention and Recovery

    The United Nations Development Programme's (UNDP) work in crisis prevention and recovery helps countries to prevent armed conflict and natural disasters, as well as rebuild and recover when disaster and conflict do occur.

  • Results: Egypt

    UNDP is working with Egypt to consolidate democratic gains by promoting an inclusive process that respects the rights of all citizens; addressing urgent economic needs of the most vulnerable; and answering the need for strong accountable institutions.

  • Results: Poverty Reduction

    UNDP fights poverty and works toward achievement of the MDGs through advocacy; diagnosis of existing problems; support to pro-poor country-level plans and policies; and pursuing a programme of inclusive development.

  • Results: Tunisia

    UNDP is responding quickly to the fast-changing environment in Tunisia, launching an ambitious new strategy supporting key elements of the democratic transition, such as electoral and constitution-making processes, the rule of law, employment and social cohesion. The organization is also preparing to support Tunisia on issues such as inclusive growth and sustainable development, with an emphasis on youth employment and local development.

  • Results: Uganda

    This publication describes outcomes of projects in Uganda focused on preventing crisis and fueling recovery; environmental protection and ensuring sustainability; and building a democratic society.

  • Results: Yemen

    UNDP is at the forefront of the post-crisis agenda in Yemen, coordinating the efforts of the international community, including elections, national dialogue and human rights. Additionally, UNDP is supporting humanitarian operations and building on its HIV/AIDS programming.
