Country Sector Assessments

This series of national assessments of governance in water and sanitation sectors helped inform the design and implementation of a series of UNDP capacity building and technical assistance projects to strengthen water governance and advance the Millennium Development Goals.

GoAL WaSH was established in 2008, to accelerate achievement of the water and sanitation Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and now continues towards the fulfilment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme, which is managed by the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), aims to enhance the performance of the drinking water and sanitation sectors in partner countries for effective, equitable and sustainable service delivery.
