The 'Practitioners and Policy makers Exchange on Climate Change Adaptation in Agriculture', which was held in Bangkok in 2010, facilitated the transfer of knowledge gained from increasing experience with climate change adaptation in the agriculture sector. The FAQ booklet captures participants’ questions related to climate-resilient farming practices, Adaptation Financing, and knowledge sharing.
This brief discusses the nexus between climate change and MDG1: to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. It highlights UNDP-GEF adaptation programming approaches and initiatives to increase the resilience of vulnerable populations to adapt to the long-term impacts of climate change and variability that threaten to derail ongoing development efforts and gains towards MDG 1.
