A tool to realize GHG mitigation under NDCs

In 2013, UNDP, the UNFCCC Secretariat and the UNEP DTU Partnership joined forces to produce a comprehensive Guide on formulating effective NAMAs. The adoption of the Paris Agreement and related national climate plans or Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) called for an update of the NAMA guidance document to bring clarity to the relevance of NAMAs in the context of NDCs. In doing so, the original group of institutions collaborated with the NAMA Facility to produce this updated document, signaling an increased emphasis on the central financial structuring of the mitigation actions to be anticipated as a result of the Paris Agreement.
