A United Nations’ bus displaying the Global Goals for people and planet that make up the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development took a tour around the city, engaging the public at various locations. The bus traveled from the city center to the ger district with performers and public on-board.

PERFORMANCES: A GREAT WAY TO ENGAGE PUBLIC

The bus stopped at various locations where performers including singers from Music and Dance Conservatory, dancers from Freedom Dance City Studio, face painters and artists engaged the public to raise awareness about peoples' role in Mongolia’s development.

CELEBRITIES JOINED TOO

Famous actor Orgil Makhaan joined at the State Department Store and urged people to come forward to take action to help achieve Sustainable Development Goals

THE PUBLIC'S INTEREST WAS PROMISING 

Action booklets with suggested actions for each goal were distributed among public, faces were painted, portraits were drawn. Public's responded with great interest

UN MONGOLIA REPRESENTATIVES JOINED TOO 

At Light Street, Ms. Beate Trankmann, United Nations Resident Coordinator, said while addressing the public that “the world’s biggest problems can only be solved with the support of the people. People’s actions, choices and behaviors have the power to bring the change that we need today."
