UNDP recognizes that achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) depends on vibrant economic growth driven by markets and private enterprises that create jobs provide goods and services for the poor and generate tax revenues to finance essential social services and economic infrastructure.

Our Goals

Much of UNDP Tanzania work focuses on: strengthening capacity of private companies in assisting them to improve their human capital solutions that lead to wealth creation via the private sector and commercially operated state enterprises, supporting on going government efforts to develop institutional capacity for negotiating, drafting, regulating and managing investment contracts, Mainstreaming trade to ensure it contributes in a meaningful way to the country’s economic growth and poverty reduction and enable Tanzania to unleash fully its trade potential.
