    Expansion of Basic Services in Jonglei

    Honourable Kuol Manyang Juuk, Governor of Jonglei State officiated the handover to the Government of the Bor High Court, a new laboratory at the Bor state hospital, and 30 tractors with associated equipment and spare parts to help expand food production under the ‘Jonglei Peacebuilding through Food Security programme’ on Wednesday 8 May 2013 with support from UNDP.

    Raising Awareness, Decreasing Stigma

    During her last pregnancy, Alice became ill and visited her local hospital for testing where she found out that she had both HIV and tuberculosis (TB). Her husband had recently died and left her to care for their four young children on her own. While her father took care of the children, Alice received three months of treatment at her local hospital. Today, she is healthier, stronger and energetic.

    National Customary Law Centre opens in Rumbek

    The Ministry of Justice with support from UNDP and funding through the Government of Canada’s Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFAIT) has established a National Customary Law Centre (CLC) in Rumbek, Lakes State. The CLC was formally handed over on Thursday 30 August.
