Support to Accountability

Brief Description

UNDP South Sudan seeks to implement a 2-year capacity development programmed with the South Sudan Anti Corruption Commission (SSACC) and the National Audit Chamber. Capacity development initiatives will be instituted at the individual, institutional and organizational development levels. The objective of the programme is to strengthen the accountability and transparency mechanisms of the Government of South Sudan. The expected outcome is a decrease of incidence of impunity for corrupt actions and an increased accountability for, and transparency in the use of public resources.

Outputs



Output 1: Sufficient institutional and staffing capacity in the SSACC to investigate and prosecute corruption cases;

Output 2: Strengthened capacity for routine and specialized audits.
