51st MOSI games started in Novi Pazar
51st Inter-municipal Youth Sports Games (MOSI) started today in Novi Pazar. More than 2.000 athletes from 29 towns from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia will take part in 15 sport disciplines during the next 4 days.
“The atmosphere is great and I cannot wait for competition to begin. Besides competing, MOSI will enable young people from the region to meet each other, exchange ideas and make new friendships. Our diversities should not be a barrier, but a bridge that connects us - our strength” - said Irena Vojackova-Sollorano, UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia opening the games.
MOSI is the regional event that, unlike the Olympic Games, still supports amateur competitors. Games are a perfect occasion to promote the principles of tolerance, coexistence and reconciliation between the countries.
UNDP supported MOSI games trough Improving Human Security in Southwest Serbia program.
