Attitude of Citizens Regarding the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia

This public opinion poll was conducted as part of the Strengthening the Oversight Function and Transparency of the Parliament Project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the Serbian National Assembly and funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The presentation was attendded by MPs, assembly employees and the media.

This  research represents one of the first of this  type in Serbia, with the aim of comprehensively examining  the attitudes of the Serbian citizens towards the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.

Highlights

  • 34% of polled citizens have expressed positive attitude towards the work of the National Assembly
  • One half of the polled citizens see improvement in the functioning of the Parliament in the last year
  • Citizens want more activity about to see more activity on economic issues, the status of youth and social policy
