UNDP attracts aspiring development professionals at International Career Fair

Jun 29, 2018

The UNDP Seoul Policy Centre explained the role and work of UNDP and the Centre to several hundred young Korean jobseekers looking for information and opportunities to contribute to global development efforts. The event took place in the context of the “2018 International Career Fair: Exploring Career Opportunities in the UN and International Organizations” co-hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 29 June in Seoul City Hall.

As an integral part of UNDP Headquarters, and one of UNDP’s six Global Policy Centres, the UNDP Seoul Policy Centre represents UNDP in Korea, works with Korea on international issues, and shares Korea’s development experience with other countries, all in support of the attainment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Participants in the Career Fair, including students and career starters, lined up to learn about UNDP and seek advice and tips on working in development.

UNDP is the UN’s global development network, an organization advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. UNDP is on the ground in some 170 countries and territories, working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges.
