World green energy forum to boost green growthSep 4, 2012
The World Green Energy Forum will bring green energy experts from around the world to help the world meet Millennium Development Goals 7 and 8, on ensuring environmental sustainability and building a global partnership for development. More specifically, it aims to boost policy and practice in advancing low carbon green growth internationally.
The Forum will be held on October 17th at the Hyundai Hotel in Gyeongju, Korea. It will be hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do province. To register, visit the official website. Registration is open until September 21st.
The summit offers opportunities to boost partnership among developing nations in Asia, Africa and Middle East and enhance global efforts to put humanity's relationship with the earth on a more sustainable track.
Experts in seven key fields of energy will share knowledge, expertise and national actions in seven key energy areas including solar, nuclear, wind and smart grids. An expert from UNDP Headquarters will take part.
