EMPOWERING RWANDANS

TO A RESILIENT AND INCLUSIVE FUTURE

Our Mission

In Rwanda, UNDP has been working as a key development partner of choice since 1977, to achieve sustainable human development in economic, social and environmental fronts. Working closely with the Government, civil society, the private sector and communities, UNDP aims to eradicate extreme poverty, and reduce inequalities and exclusion to protect both people and the planet.

Our mission at UNDP has been to help Rwanda build stronger institutions, eradicate poverty and inequality, protect the environment, uphold human rights, adhere to good governance, and create decent employment opportunities for its youth, women and men. At UNDP we also plan to aid all Rwandans, especially the most vulnerable, enjoy the benefits of their country's development and to be protected from adverse impacts of natural disasters and climate change.
