Proyects and Initiatives
Support to Centroamérica's Security Strategy: Support for the Central American Security Strategy. This project seeks to strengthen the Central American Integration System (SICA) 'Central American Security Strategy' to prevent violence, focusing particularly in youth violence, local security and gender-based violence. Our support entails boosting the regional coordination mechanisms, supporting the implementation of key activities in selected countries and promoting South-South cooperation. Additionally, the project supports the coordination mechanism for violence prevention (Regional Commission on Social Violence Prevention and its Technical Group) supporting the design and implementation of a security strategy by enhancing the methodology, producing comparative studies on safety, analyzing Central American countries’ budgets and expenditures and ensuring monitoring and evaluation of the Strategy. We also work with the a group of SICA donors to coordinate resource mobilization.
