Live Lebanon Goodwill Ambassadors distribute gifts to the kids all over Lebanon

16 Dec 2011

On the occasion of Christmas, the Live Lebanon –  United Nations Development Programme – goodwill  ambassador Mr. Fady Salemeh and the goodwill ambassador for West Europe and the president of “Les amis de Monaco” organization Ms. Boran Bweiry, will distribute gifts to the children of the Maarouf Saad kindergarten in Saida on Monday 19th of January 2011 at 12pm.

The goodwill ambassadors will deliver speeches where they will extend their best wishes to the kids and their families on Christmas in the presence of UNDP representatives and the school management. This event comes after “Live Lebanon” rehabilitated and renewed the Maarouf Saad kindergarten earlier this year during the “Young Lebanon” campaign.

Live Lebanon is organizing this event for the fourth year, and it’s considered to be a part of the ongoing developmental and humanitarian projects and activities that are implemented to support the Lebanese local community. And the gifts are distributed twice every year: Fitr Day and Christmas time. This year’s Christmas gift distribution program includes 13 sites where the gifts will be offered to over 1300 people.

Live Lebanon is a UNDP initiative that seeks to directly engage Lebanese expatriate communities as agents of development by providing a platform that links Lebanese worldwide with fast-impact projects for local communities throughout Lebanon. With projects covering the areas of environment, health, youth, and income generation, we operate as a neutral channel through which expatriate communities can provide direct support to underprivileged communities in the poorest areas of the country, including North Lebanon, Bekaa, Mount Lebanon and Beirut, and South Lebanon regions. Live Lebanon insists on local ownership of project planning and implementation ensuring that all support goes directly to the beneficiaries in order to achieve viable and impactful solutions
