Our Work: 100 Days after Typhoon Haiyan

20 Feb 2014

A hundred days after Typhoon Haiyan tore through one of the poorest parts of the Philippines, affecting 14.1 million people and leaving 4 million displaced, UNDP continues to help people rebuild their lives.

Already, under an emergency employment scheme, 25,000 people have earned much needed cash and helped clear over half a million cubic metres of debris.

Watch how this enabled aid workers to deliver relief supplies more easily, and hundreds of schools, day care centers and government building have been able to re-open as communities start the long road to recovery.
