The two days workshop that started on Tuesday, 18th and ended on Wednesday, 19th March covered the SGP focal areas of Biodiversity Conservation, Land Degradation and Sustainable Forest Management and Climate Change Abatement. A separate session was also conducted to highlight projects that could receive support under the Small Islands Developing States (SIDS) Community Based Adaptation (CBA) funded by AusAID. The workshop was facilitated by a member of the national Steering Committee, Ms Modi Pontio, who was very pleased to see high number of interested participants and the high level of discussion aimed at sharing essential and practical information on grant awards. SGP secretariat was especially pleased to note that the workshop also offered opportunity for networking and allowing government counterparts to receive information with the view to disseminating to respective communities they work with.
