Individual Consultancy - Social Mobilizers

Description of Assignment:

The purpose of this assignment would be to establish peace and development committees, conduct social mobilization, resolve issues within communities and between the community and implementing partners, ensuring their active involvement and  ownership of schemes at village level where peace and development infrastructure schemes are being implemented in three Tehsils of district Swat namely: Matta Kharari, Matta Sabujni and Khawazakhela. Apart from social mobilization the assignment will also include components on monitoring, reporting and capacity building of peace and development committees in the targeted communities.

Period of Services: 01 October 2013 to 31 December 2013

Pakistan's One UN Programme (OP I) was signed on 4 February 2009 in the presence of the UN Secretary General and the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Initially for a two-year period from 2009 to 2010, OP I was extended until December 2012 by mutual agreement of the Government of Pakistan and the UN.
