    This UNDP Nepal Annual Report 2011 highlights some of the organisation’s significant results across five Programme areas: Peace building, Recovery and Reintegration; Transitional Democratic Governance; Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Livelihoods; Energy, Environment and Disaster Management; and HIV/AIDS. UNDP’s focus through these five areas is to provide support to empower the poor and marginalized and to contribute to policy making processes.

  • UNDP Nepal Annual Report 2010

    This report presents the activities and accomplishments of UNDP in Nepal in 2010. It is divided into different chapters – Chapter 1 presents an overview of the achievements. Chapter 2 summarises how almost all the 35 projects UNDP supported in 2010 have helped Nepal’s long term development by reducing poverty, advancing the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and helping build a sustainable peace following the 1996–2006 armed conflict. Chapters 3 to 9 describe in detail how UNDP has worked in partnership and collaboration with communities, the government, other development agencies, civil society, academia and the business community.

OUR WORK - MDG

UNDP and the other UN agencies in Nepal are actively supporting the Government in fulfilling its commitment to the MDGs. The Local Governance and Community Development Program (LGCDP), a large-scale joint programme of UNDP, UNCDF, UNICEF, UNFPA, UN Women and UNV on effective service delivery at the local level has been in operation since 2009 which will help create enabling environment at local level in achieving MDGs.
