    Launch of the Syria Response Plan and the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (2015 - 2016)

    The Syria Crisis is the largest political, humanitarian and development challenge of our time. A new approach is needed to respond to the crisis inside and outside Syria. The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Office of the High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) are jointly launching two plans that will shape the international community’s response to the Syria Crisis in the future: The Syria Strategic Response Plan 2015 (SRP) and the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan 2015-2016 (3RP).

    Journalists discuss social cohesion and stereotyping in the peace building joint news supplement

    The UNDP “Peace Building in Lebanon” project organized a discussion session around the fifth issue of the Peace Building joint news supplement on Thursday 9th of October 2014 in AltCity café in Hamra. Funded by Japan, the fifth issue of the supplement was published on the 29th of September with Annahar and As-Safir newspapers and advertised on the National News Agency’s website. The English translated version was published with the Daily Star newspaper.

    Palestinian Gatherings Roundtable Discussions: A first step towards a coordinated resilience –based response
