This booklet highlights the situation of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in Lao PDR, as of late 2012 and the work that has been done and is ongoing to reduce the impact of UXO on the people and development of the country.

UNDP has supported the UXO sector since 1996 and this publication outlines some of the key achievements and focus of work during this time. It's key message is the importance of accelerating efforts and the need for continued support from the international community in tackling UXO for the development and future of the country. With 41 out of the 46 poorest districts contaminated by UXO the prevalence between UXO and poverty is clear to see.
