Situation Analysis: Possibilities and Barriers for Development of Women Entrepreneurship in Villages

This situational analysis is intended to facilitate integration of gender perspectives in policy documents of state policy in the field of entrepreneurship by providing in-depth analysis of problems and prospects of development of women entrepreneurship, as well as determine entrepreneurial capacity of rural women in the Kyrgyz Republic.

This study was conducted in 2009 within the framework of a regional joint project of ADB, UNDP and the Governments of the region on promoting entrepreneurship among rural women in Central Asia aimed at increasing the economic potential of rural women in the pilot districts of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
