This guide is designed to assist stakeholders, and in particular for young leaders, in development of youth action plans at the local level.
 

Plans are not an end in itself, they also are not the only way to solve the problems of youth and strengthen their role in the field. However, these plans are part of a comprehensive work to address the problems of young people which helps to engage various stakeholders in the field.


Creation of youth action plans is not complicated and is a process that helps to clarify what young people want to achieve and how to do it.


This process is based on the following principles:
 

  • Youth involvement in decision-making at the local level
  • Dialogue between young people and local authorities
  • Access to information
  • Respect for human rights and gender equality.
