Swaayam - The Journey Has Begun

The film, produced by UNDP India, demonstrates how UNDP-IKEA Foundation partnership is helping strengthen key dimensions of women’s empowerment- social, economic and political. The partnership, which began in 2009 with 500 villages in eastern Uttar Pradesh, is now being upscaled to cover 2.2 million women in 17,000 villages across four states of India- Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
