Lecture - Capabilities and Human Development: The Critical Role of Social Institutions and Social Competencies

The inaugural UNDP India Lecture Series was delivered by Prof. Frances Stewart, Professor of Development Economics (emeritus), University of Oxford and Director of Centre for Research on Inequality, Human Security and Ethnicity. In her presentation focused on Capabilities and Human Development: The Critical Role of Social Institutions and Social Competencies, Prof. Stewart argued that social institutions and norms should be an integral part of strategies designed at improving human development outcomes.
