Ghana Post-2015 Development Agenda: Composite Report

September 26, 2013

This report is the outcome of Ghana’s First National Consultation on the Post-2015 Development Agenda. Ghana was one of the countries selected to undertake in-country consultations that focus on a post-2015 global development agenda captioned “The World We Want”.

The objective of the country consultations was to build a shared global vision, to amplify the voices of the poor and other marginalized groups and to influence the intergovernmental processes so that they align with the aspirations of civil society for a post-2015 agenda. This first round of national consultations focused on the ‘what’ of the agenda i.e. development priorities. From the consultations, the most consistent concerns among all stakeholders were inequality, unemployment, sanitation and environment, and human development (health and education).
