May 19, 2014
The aim of the research is to study the recommendations issued by the Public Defender of Georgia in 2008-2013 to the Government, Parliament, local self-governance and public institutions and analyze their implementation.
Since its establishment, the Public defender office has issued multiple recommendations to various public institutions. The PDO is mandated to react on any civil, political, or other rights violations and submit its main instrument recommendations to the relevant state institution.
The first chapter of the study analyzes the statistic data and provides quantitative information. Following chapters study legal problems in light of the recommendation analysis. The last chapter suggests remedies to the problematic situations.
