  • Improved Seed Production for Sustainable Agriculture

    To design and implement interventions in support of quality seed multiplication (improved quality and variety), capacity enhancement at the farm level, and providing appropriate skills to increase productivity and food availability in an ecologically sustainable manner for improved rural livelihoods.

  • Reduction of Post-Harvest Losses for Food Security

    The main objective is to enhance capacity at the farm level in post-harvest management through training of farmers, introduction and promotion of improved post-harvest methods and interventions, and awareness raising activities for farmers.

OUR WORK - FOOD SECURITY AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT

Hunger and malnutrition continue to be problems in DPRK.UNDP focused on increasing grain production. The focus now is on diversifying agriculture (such as vegetables and alternative cereals production) to help meet the country’s food security needs.
