UNDP works in partnership with the Royal Government of Cambodia, bilateral donors, multilateral aid agencies, non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations and community-based organizations. Partnership with the European Union, Sweden, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, Norway, UN-REDD and many others are vital for us in achieving results.

Our funds come from three main sources: UNDP’s central budget, donor countries, and funds specific to certain projects. They include projects under the Global Environment Facility, a special partnership that channels funds into small-scale initiatives to help address global problems, such as climate change, and improve livelihood for poor people in Cambodia.

Most of the development assistance is implemented by national entities such as the Council for Development of Cambodia, Cambodian Mine Action and Victim Assistance Authority and and ministries. At present, UNDP directly implements three projects each under Democratic Governance, Poverty Reduction, and Environment and Energy programmatic areas, with the overarching aim to support the progress towards the Cambodian Millennium Development Goals.
