CCBAP Case Studies Report 2015

The case study report is to show two successful examples of a community based adaptation project of the Small Grants Programme in Cambodia. 

CASE STUDY 1 features development of water supply for promotion of local livelihood of Kraing Serei Community Forestry in Kampong Speu Province, Cambodia. Water pipeline connection through a water collection approach is used for the enhancement of the livelihood of the community people on agriculture and their domestic use of water and thus enabling them to adapt to climate change.

CASE STUDY 2 outlines a community’s improved capacity to adapt to climate change in Seang Kveang Commune, Kamchay Mear District, Prey Veng Province, Cambodia. A canal rehabilitation increases the effectiveness of the irrigated water management and use for agricultural productivity and new varieties and knowledge gained from agricultural trainings under the project are applied to increase the rice yield.
