EU key partner to UNDP

Jan 30, 2013

In 2011, the the European Union was UNDP's third largest partner in terms of providing funding to our total resources (includes both regular and other resources). When considering contributions to “other resources” which consist of earmarked contributions, the EU ranked second.

The EU is an important actor globally in development and humanitarian aid, and in peace and security. The EU contributions to UNDP over the last decade have been considerable. In 2011 alone, we signed around 60 financing agreements to the total value of almost USD 360 million.
