  • EU top third donor to UNDP in 2011 Jan 30, 2013

    In 2011, the European Union ranked third in the listing of top-donors to UNDP’s total resources (includes both regular and other resources). When considering contributions to “other resources” which consist of earmarked contributions, the EU ranked second.

    EU has awarded UNDP a new contract worth EUR 500,000 to continue to support the drafting and adoption of a new Constitution for Zimbabwe. As part of the agenda to support democratic transformation in the country, the UNDP-EU partnership has since 2009 assisted the Zimbabwean authorities to prepare and conduct a participatory, inclusive and transparent constitution making process.

This training, which belongs to the EEAS catalogue of knowledge-based courses, is jointly organized by the EU and UN on a periodic manner as part of the efforts to promote institutional understanding among them.
