An important area of UNDP's work in Belize for the reduction of poverty and improvement of health, is related to improving access to services through the HIV/AIDS portfolio.

Our Goals

The first phase of the five years Global Fund Round 9 Grant project is in progress, under the title Accelerating the Pace: Reaching Marginalized and Vulnerable Populations with Critical Services. The HIV/AIDS Thematic Trust Fund (TTF) project National Dialogue on Human Rights in Belize, Scaling up access to legal services for most at risk populations also focuses on poverty reduction with emphasis on combating HIV AIDS. more

Fact Sheet on GFATM Round 9 Grant

This fact sheet provides basic information on the GFATM Round 9 Grant.  Phase I of the project implementation has now been completed, and Phase II is commencing.  This project is a successful partnership of the Country Coordinating Mechanism for HIV AIDS and UNDP Belize (principal recipient).  Several sub-recipients have been actively implementing the project since late 2010.
