Community Action 2015 Services and Products provide integrated, cross-sector support for local initiatives that make the MDGs a reality for the people whose lives they are intended to improve.

1.      Compile, Highlight and Codify Good Practice

·     Develop a comprehensive resource base of good practice at the local level and across sectors

·     Design and host community dialogue spaces and workshops to highlight community work within a global forum and to link realization of the MDGs to a cultural context.

·     Partner with research institutions, academics, UN agencies, and development practioners to select and analyze local level good practice throughout the developing world.

2.      Knowledge Management and Learning Exchange

·      Design and implement a knowledge management framework for sharing good practice along both local-to-local and local-to-global axes.

·      Produce discrete outputs – policy notes, good practice publications,  local leadership training workshops - tied to specific stakeholders to aid capacity development at the local level

·      Fund and implement a Local Learning Facility to coordinate direct learning exchanges in situ between selected communities

3.      Enabling Environment and Policy Support

·      Develop capacities of partners to work with communities to help shape and realize national and local strategies to achieve the MDGs.

·      Deliver private sector support – resource mobilization, business modeling, increased market reach – to spur local initiatives

·      Leverage access and credibility to incorporate local voices and local leaders within the larger policy dialogue.
