Climate Change Interventions by Region

UNDP’s climate change initiatives are integrated into its sustainable energy and environment practice area. Effective responses to changing climate conditions include actions to preserve and manage natural resources more effectively, and to increase the availability of alternative energy services that do not contribute to the build-up of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. These are also important factors for overall sustainable development efforts, and for meeting the targets for poverty reduction, improved health and environmental sustainability set out in the Millennium Development Goals.
