Arab States

The Arab states consist of 23 countries and territories and have an estimated population of 320 million people. A region diverse in economics and culture, it has been subject to many natural disasters and conflicts. UNDP work in the Arab states includes addressing sexual and gender-based violence, promoting peace-building and reintegration of former combatants, clearing remnants of war and improving women's access to justice, among other things.
