2 June - For many environmentalists and conservationists in the region, the tragedy in Myanmar is a déjà vu. The 2004 Tsunami had dramatically illustrated the vulnerability of coastal zones deprived of their natural buffers such as mangroves or coral reefs. As a result, the Mangroves for the Future Initiative was born in 2006.
