The Secretariat of the Commission completed its work in July 2008. UNDP has agreed to take on and advance elements of the Commission's agenda and will continue working on its initiative on Legal Empowerment of the Poor.

This website will no longer be updated but will continue to serve as an archive and documentation of the work of the Commission on Legal Empowerment of the Poor while it was in place from 2005-2008.
